St. Clair Shores is a tough assignment and we say so up front. It is built along Lake St. Clair, threaded with residential canals, and most of the housing went up in a compressed postwar stretch in the 1950s. High groundwater plus seventy-year-old foundations is the hardest combination in our service area.
